High Plains Kennel Club has lost a truly remarkable person, a highly respected judge, dedicated Australian Cattle Dog breeder, mentor, and business owner, Amy Turner. Amy passed away after a brief illness on March 24, 2026.

In her honor, HPKC has created a Memorial Plaque that will be awarded once each show weekend, beginning with the July 2026 show cluster. The plaque was presented privately to her partner prior to Amy's Celebration of Life on May 30 as HPKC's way of honoring her memory and lasting contributions to the dog community.

The plaque was displayed during her service among the many beautiful photographs and cherished memories that reflected a life well lived and the countless lives she touched.

Rest peacefully and pain-free, Amy. Your legacy will continue to inspire and guide us for years to come.

With HPKC now officially an RQE, we’re expecting an even bigger turnout of exhibitors this year! To keep things running smoothly, we’ve added another Performance ring, giving us a total of 6 Conformation rings and 3 Performance rings. 🏆🐾

The comfort and safety of our exhibitors and their dogs is a top priority. We’ll have cooling stations, ventilated openings in the grooming tent, and fans throughout to keep the air flowing and everyone comfortable.

We can’t wait to see everyone there for an amazing event! 🐶✨

This exciting UKC-licensed event features six all-breed conformation shows, six rally obedience trials, and six obedience trials—giving you plenty of opportunities to step into the ring. BONUS: OB & Rally OB are Regional Qualifying Events! 🥳
With classes for regular, altered, novice puppies, and veterans, there’s something for every team. Plus, compete for Total Dog and Total Junior honors at every show, and take advantage of SPOT testing offered Friday and Saturday.

As a Total Dog Regional Qualifier, this is a can’t-miss event for those looking to showcase both structure and performance. Be sure to get your entries in by July 6, 2026, as this is a pre-entry only event.

Show 1 Sign-Up: Pulled after Juniors (AM).
Show 2 Sign-Up: Pulled before Show 2 begins (afternoon).
Exhibitors are encouraged to sign up for Saturday on Friday.
