KITTIES RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!!
There are many loving, friendly tame kitties and kittens that will lose their lives if we cannot find homes/places for them to go shortly!!! They are at 3 sites that animal control will begin trapping in about a week. We are doing everything we can to try to save as many as we can!!!! These kitties are there from no fault of their own and deserve a chance to live. Even if someone can take only one cat or kitten, that would be a miracle for it!!! Several of us are trying to locate the person who picked up a long-haired black kitty from the McDonald's parking lot at the one on hwy 70 across from LCC. This kitty is very special to many of us and we are very concerned about her condition and if she is safe. We were told that a man picked her up and put her in his car about 2 weeks ago when it was very cold. Miss Fuzzy is very tame. We have been trying to find her a good home for a while but now we are extremely worried about who might have taken her and how she is being treated. If anyone knows who might have picked her up, please let us know and/or ask the person to contact us and let us know the situation. Thank you to all who may be able to help!!! We are extremely concerned about her!!!!!

Reposting URGENT message:

We have now been told that the cats were taken by an elderly woman driving a white van. Please help locate these kitties!!!

I have been told by the workmen remodeling a vacant house across the street from me that my cats were taken by a rescue group after being mistaken as cats that were left behind when the homeowners moved.

In fact they are my cats who used to sometimes hang out at that house during the day, playing with the little girl who lived there while I was at work.

They have been hanging out there since the family moved , still looking for the girl I guess.

Please help!

We need someone to take care of/foster one adult, very sweet kitty until her future "parents" return from some holiday travels. This kitty is wonderful--just needs someone for about 3 weeks. Hard to believe that someone did this!!! These six kittens and mother and an older sibling were dropped off Friday or Saturday at one of the sites where we feed in Kinston. They were in the crate shown in the picture. The mother is frightened but is doing her best to care for the kittens. They appear to be very healthy. The older sibling is traumatized. We are so upset about this and are praying that people will be interested in adopting one or more of this beautiful group of kitties!!! They deserve so much better than this--so very heartbreaking!

Please pray for the Neuse River kitties! Save A Cat, Inc. has been caring for many of them for many years and they are like family.
I made it to McDonald's tonight (Friday) and it's unbelievable
how much water is there! No way to get to the kitties there or down the river where the others are. We pray that God has led them to dry spots somewhere or up some trees to hang on for safety. We will be there to help
them as soon as they will let us in. May God shield and protect them and guide them to safety.
We did all we could before the water rose so high we couldn't get to them and now the safety officers cannot let us get in. We understand
that and appreciate all their help.
It's a terrible situation for so many people and animals!
I am so sad---it really hurts---in tears!!!
