This morning, members of Young Professionals of Lenoir County and Rotaract of Lenoir County spent the morning volunteering at Mary’s Kitchen, preparing and serving a homemade shrimp Alfredo lunch for members of our community.

One of the best parts of being involved in our organization is the opportunity to connect with others while making a meaningful impact. Today’s service project was a great reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Thank you to Mary’s Kitchen for the incredible work you do and for allowing us to be a part of your mission today.

We are excited to introduce the 2026–2027 leadership team for Young Professionals & Rotaract of Lenoir County.

This year marks the first full leadership term as a fully unified Young Professionals & Rotaract of Lenoir County organization, combining efforts to strengthen networking, professional development, service, and community engagement across Lenoir County for the entire year.

These officers will be officially installed in their roles on June 25, and will begin serving in their new positions on July 1.

Young Professionals of Lenoir County and Rotaract of Lenoir County are bringing JAWS to the giant outdoor screen at the Lenoir County Fairgrounds, and this might be the most fun you’ll have all summer.

Today, we’re celebrating someone who has played an incredible role in shaping our organization and its future—Happy Birthday, Geneva Colie! 🎉

Throughout the transition of Young Professionals of Lenoir County and Rotaract coming together, Geneva has been a steady, positive, and dedicated leader. She has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help make this process as smooth as possible while continuing to support and encourage our members every step of the way.

Her leadership, commitment to service, and passion for our community have helped lay the foundation for an exciting future, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our organization.

As if celebrating her birthday wasn’t enough, we’re also excited to celebrate another milestone. Geneva will soon be stepping into the role of Rotaract Advisor! In this position, she will serve as a mentor and guide for our members and leadership team, helping ensure the continued success, growth, and sustainability of our club while supporting future leaders as they develop their own skills and passion for service.

We couldn’t think of a better person for this role, and we are so excited for this next chapter.

There’s something special about young professionals coming together to make a difference close to home. ✨

Last night, members of the Young Professionals of Lenoir County joined forces to help hang red, white, and blue lights around the Farmers Market for Downtown Kinston Revitalization.

One of the best parts of our organization is having the opportunity to support other groups that are working hard to strengthen our community. Whether it’s volunteering, networking, or lending a helping hand, we’re proud to play a small part in projects that help make Kinston a great place to live, work, and grow.
