💙The Big Blue House💙

There’s a house that stands in blue,
Where broken hearts come to renew.
Behind its doors are stories told,
Of battles fought, of hearts grown cold.
Some came here lost, some came afraid,
Some carried choices they wished they’d changed.
With heavy hearts and weary eyes, they wondered if they’d ever rise.
The substances once called their name,
Promised comfort, but brought pain.
They took their dreams, they stole their light,
And kept them running through the night.
But here, inside the Big Blue House,
Hope began to stir like a quiet mouse.
One day at a time, one breath, one prayer,
They found that healing could happen there.
There were tears that fell like rain,
And days filled up with doubt and pain.
There were moments they wanted to run,
And moments they knew their fight was won.
They learned that recovery isn’t straight,
That healing sometimes comes late.
A stumble doesn’t mean the end,
Sometimes you fall so you can bend.
They learned to speak, they learned to feel,
That wounds can hurt and still can heal.
They learned their past does not define
The person waiting on the other side.
And slowly dreams began to grow,
Like little flowers beneath the snow.
A smile returned, a heart found peace,
And chains that held them started to release.
This house is more than walls and doors,
More than bedrooms, stairs, and floors.
It holds laughter, tears, and fears
Of women rebuilding through the years.
The Big Blue House has watched them change,
Watched broken pieces rearrange.
And every woman who walks through
Leaves a little hope behind her too.
So if these walls could speak someday,
They’d tell of darkness turned to day.
They’d say, “You’re stronger than you know.
Keep walking. Keep healing. Keep choosing to grow.”
Because recovery is not about
Never falling, never having doubt.
It’s choosing to hope when hope feels small,
And finding the courage to stand after the fall.
And maybe that’s why the house is blue,
Because blue is the color of skies made new.
A reminder that storms will pass,
And even broken things can last.
So here’s to the women who enter this place,
Who find their strength, rediscover their grace.
Here’s to the battles they’re learning to win,
And the beautiful lives waiting within.
The Big Blue House stands strong and true,
Holding stories, dreams, and beginnings anew.
And behind those blue walls, day after day,
Women are finding their own way.
Not defined by addiction.
Not trapped by the past.
But becoming the women
They were meant to be at last.
