At yesterday's staff & participant luncheon, our Administrative Manager, Bailey Stepps, asked us a thought-provoking question: What is a good life?

Bailey challenged us to think about life as something we intentionally build, much like a house. We discussed the importance of defining success for ourselves rather than allowing others to define it for us.
We asked ourselves:

🔹 What do I want to build with my life?
🔹 What kind of person do I want to be when others are watching?
🔹 What gives my life purpose?
🔹 What do I want to be counted on for?
🔹 What do I want to be remembered for?

We reflected that wanting and building are not the same thing. A good life requires effort in daily choices that keep us aligned with our values and goals! We also recognized that a good life is not always a perfect life. Instead, it is built through meaningful relationships, a sense of purpose, perseverance through challenges, and having something worth protecting.

The House of Hope for Men enjoyed a trip to the Cliffs of the Neuse with Mrs. Tracey Price. Thank you, Tracey, for all you do and for investing your time and heart into our residents. ❤️ And the House of Hope for Women followed up next with a refreshing dip and some time together!

We were honored to gather at Westminster United Methodist Church again for our July Staff & Participant Luncheon.

A special thank you to Judge Sargeant for joining us as our special guest. We appreciate your support of our mission and the individuals we serve.

Brooke Logan, Manager of Restored Hope Boutique, led this month's discussion on accountability. Her thoughtful message led to engaging and honest conversations about taking responsibility for growth, the choices we make, the consequences that follow, and the help we accept on our journey toward restoration.

At Hope Restorations, we believe that restoration happens through support and meaningful conversations like these.

Big news for Hope Restorations!

We are excited to share that Hope Restorations has been awarded a state grant to support some updates and improvements at the House of Hope for Men.
This is a huge step forward in strengthening our program and creating an even better, more supportive environment for the men we serve. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity to expand facilities and can’t wait to see the impact these improvements will make.
