The 28th Annual Lenoir Hospital Foundation's Golf Tournament was a FANTASTIC day of fellowship, fairways, and philanthropy! A HUGE THANK YOU to ALL who participated. Whether you played golf, sponsored a team, or volunteered to assist, it was a true team effort! Your patronage raises critical funds for patient-centered programs, life-saving equipment, and community wellness initiatives. The Lenoir Hospital Foundation would like to recognize our 2026 golf tournament closet to the hole winners: Nicole Maxon (hole # 5), Austin Hardison (hole #9), Jimmy Davis (hole #13), Coy Carlyle (hole #15). Though not pictured, the longest drive honors goes to Ashlyn Smith (hole #7).

The Foundation would like to thank especially Jeremy Shadle and Ryan Philyaw as well as the rest of the incredible staff at the Kinson Country Club for helping to make this another VERY successful golf tournament. We are looking forward to next year, already!

Congratulations to Rachel Garris, Vascular Nurse at UNC Health Lenoir, on being named the 2026 recipient of the Cindy A. Jones Memorial Nursing Scholarship.

This meaningful scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals, actively enrolled in a program to further their nursing degree, honoring Cindy‘s legacy while supporting the next generation of nurses.

Presenting the scholarship to Rachel at (L to R) Ryan and Jared Jones, Cindy’s twin sons, Chris Jones, Cindy’s husband, and Gary Alphin, Cindy’s brother.
