Round 74 of our Eagle Scout Extreme Makeover series is here. A restored trail entrance outside a rocks and minerals museum in Oregon. A self-guided audio walking tour of a historic New York town. A professional-grade golf practice green funded by 80 donors. A freshly painted high school field house brought to life by varsity teammates.

🔨 LEVEL UP! Woodcraft & Engineering Invitational with Scout Troop 727 🌉
Calling all Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts! Ready to work with real tools, test design limits, and knock out required adventures in one evening? Join Scout Troop 727 at St. Martha’s Pavilion for a high-energy, hands-on workshop designed to advance your Scout skills.
What’s Happening:
🪚 Webelos “Build It” Adventure: Measure, sand, assemble, and take home your own custom wooden step stool.
📐 AOL “Engineer” Adventure: Master structural forces by constructing a full-scale, self-supporting Leonardo da Vinci bridge.
🎯 Scout Team Games: Outdoor team challenges led by Troop 727 youth leaders.
🍕 Pizza & Drinks at 6:00 PM: Dinner is provided for all registered Scouts and visiting parents.
🏕️ Intro to Troop Talk: An informal look at outdoor high adventure, youth-led scouting, and bridging into Scouts BSA.

🇺🇸 WE REMEMBER. WE HONOR. 🇺🇸

In the days leading up to September 11th, the Scouts of Troop 727 placed American flags in our community as a quiet tribute to the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

Each flag stands as a reminder of the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, the families forever changed, and the courage and resilience of a nation.

As Scouts, we believe in honoring those who came before us through service, respect, and remembrance.

Today, we pause and salute the flag — and those whose lives and sacrifices it represents.

🇺🇸 We will never forget.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Troop 727 – Kingwood, Texas 🇺🇸

Today, as our nation celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and vision of those who dared to declare that:

“All are created equal… endowed with certain unalienable Rights… among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Those timeless ideals continue to inspire generations of Americans—including the Scouts of Troop 727.

This week at Camp Woodruff, our Scouts celebrated America in a way that reflects the very best of Scouting: learning new skills, serving one another, respecting our nation’s flag, and gathering around the campfire as friends. These moments remind us that freedom isn’t just inherited—it is strengthened by each generation through character, service, and leadership.

As we commemorate America’s 250th birthday, we’re grateful for those who came before us and committed to preparing the next generation of citizens who will carry these ideals into the future.

May your Independence Day be filled with family, gratitude, and pride in the blessings of liberty.
