•12pm Meet at Youth Educational Parish Hall 401 E. Caesar Ave
•12:30pm Egg Hunt commences, hunters will stay on the sidewalk around Youth Educational Center, Our Lady of Fatima Grotto, and St. Gertrude church due to wet/muddy grounds
•Come by to enjoy a Kona Ice, indoor games and egg hunt with prize eggs, candy eggs, gift cards and other.

March 29th Troop 186 welcomed 5 new Scouts and we celebrated the accomplishments of an Eagle Scout!

•3 Arrow of Light Cub Scouts from Pack 140 crossed over to Troop 186
•2 new Scouts joined Troop 186
These 5 Scouts are now known as the Thunder Fangs Patrol
•Drew Seidel was honored as the most recent Troop 186 Eagle Scout (86th)

A Scout Is Reverent!

Mardi Gras, French for "Fat Tuesday," is a vibrant festival of feasting, parades, and costumes that culminates the Carnival season right before the Christian fasting period of Lent begins.

It's celebrated as a final burst of revelry, indulging in rich foods and earthly pleasures before the solemnity of Lent, a time for penance and reflection, making it a "farewell to meat" (carnevale).

Celebrations feature extravagant parades, music, dancing, and traditional king cakes, with iconic colors of purple (justice), green (faith), and gold (power).

Scouting America is celebrating it's 116th anniversary, Scout Sunday 2/8/2026 in Kingsville, Texas!

From its beginning, a Scout is Reverent means the scout is devoted to their religious views while also respecting those of others. Scouts have been doing good deeds, learning survival skills, and developing moral foundations through the Scouting America program.

Scout Sunday celebrates the Scouting Anniversary Day which is the start of Scouting in the United States, February 8th, 1910.

Scouts are welcomed to dress in their Class A uniform at the church of choice to celebrate our Scouting Ministry:

Calling Past NCCS Scholarship Recipients!

Have you received an NCCS Scholarship within the last six years? The National Catholic Committee on Scouting is excited to announce the $2,000 St. Katharine Drexel Continuing Education Scholarship—available exclusively for past NCCS Scholarship recipients who are continuing their education in college or grad school!

Eligibility Highlights:
• Be a previous NCCS Scholarship recipient within the last six years
• Active, practicing Catholic
• Enrolled full-time and in good academic standing in an undergraduate or graduate program
• Provide service to your collegiate or home parish/diocese

Good news: You can reapply each year if you continue to meet the requirements and haven’t yet received the Drexel Scholarship! The application is short, requires NO letters of recommendation, and you don’t need to be active in Scouting to apply.

Important Dates:

• Application deadline: March 1, 2026
