🎭 The Recycled Mask Art Show is up on display all September! Stop by the gallery to see this show of creative masks made entirely from recycled and repurposed materials

🎨 We’re excited to share that our friends at Decatur County Recycling have been selected for an Arts Project Support grant from the Indiana Arts Commission!

As their new home takes shape, they’re looking for artists and creatives to help add the finishing touch to the building with an original artwork or creative installation.
The artwork should connect in some way to the ideas of recycling, renewal, reuse, sustainability, or giving new life to what already exists, but we’re leaving the creative direction open. We want to see how artists interpret the concept in their own unique way.

The new Decatur County Recycling facility is currently undergoing renovations and is projected to be completed in mid-fall. The artwork may take a variety of forms, including a mural painted directly on the building, a large-scale printed design, or another creative approach that can be adapted to the space.

For now, we’re simply looking for artwork submissions and creative concepts. Artists of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to submit their ideas.

Join your neighbors and your local Community Garden for a Summer Crop Swap to trade your summer harvest extras at the Greensburg Decatur County Public Library on August 29th, from 10 am to noon. We will be out on the patio!
🥕🌽🍅Bring your surplus summer fruits, vegetables, herbs, plant starts, or your favorite summer recipe to exchange freely!🥕🌽🍅

The Decatur County Community Garden will have plants from the garden to give away and further information about the garden.

Missed out on your chance to make a recycled mask for the Recycled Art Show this month? You have a new opportunity on August 28th!

Come create your recycled art show mask at the Library, using recycled materials from the Library.

Everyone is welcome & this drop-in event is open to the public!

Arts & Cultural Council of Decatur County invites you to participate in Recycled Mask Art Show a unique community art exhibit celebrating imagination through recycled and repurposed materials.

We have two crafting hours open for you: 10:00 - 11:00 am & 4:00 - 5:00 pm!

The Library will have supplies available for everyone to use.

After creating your mask, you can drop your mask off at the Art on the Square Gallery. The Submission Deadline is August 29th by 2 pm.

We have characters, just need a few more volunteers!

This is going to be THE event in October. We are so pleased to be working with Tree County Players with our costumes. We have plenty of female character volunteers-thank you all. We still need some more men as we bring our local history to life in such a unique fashion. Please share with prospective males-no experience needed! For everyone, put it on your calendar as announcements will continue on details.
