Ulster Habitat Restore Habitat ReStores are independently operated "reuse" stores.

We offer a diverse inventory of high-quality merchandise to the public at a fractions of the retail prices, and divert reusable furniture, and home goods from landfills. The ReStore is a discount furniture and home improvement center that sells donated materials at reduced prices to the general public. 100% of the profits support Ulster County Habitat for Humanity and help build homes and hope rig

ht here in Ulster County. The mission of the Restore is three-fold:

To keep usable building materials, home improvement products and appliances out of local landfills, saving valuable resources. To provide new and gently used home improvement materials, appliances, and furniture at affordable prices to everyone. To generate additional funds to build more Habitat Family Homes in Ulster County, allowing more families in need the ability to purchase a simple, decent affordable home.

Meet your designer: Shana Luther of Shana Luther Interiors Shana Luther Interiors

She's called our Kingston ReStore her "favorite thrift" on Instagram, so when the chance came to design inside a Habitat home using ReStore pieces, it felt like a homecoming.

Shana is the founder of Shana Luther Interiors, a boutique studio serving the Hudson Valley and the Catskills. Her work blends vintage with modern, subtle moments with bolder ones, and the occasional note of whimsy. She's known for layered, lived-in spaces built on the belief that when the world feels uncertain, home should feel steady.

"I've long admired the work Habitat for Humanity does, and getting to work with them again is something I don't take lightly. I've always believed that good design should be for everyone, and this partnership feels like that belief in action. Working alongside designer Michael Van Nort, I'm so excited to bring real creativity and care to this home, because every family deserves a space that feels beautiful and truly their own."
