Pound the Pavement, Pound a Nail - 5K Race, Walk, Mosey The "Pound the Pavement, Pound a Nail - 5K Race, Walk, Mosey" is an annual charity event celebrating the partnership between URI and South County Habitat!

The fourth annual Pound the Pavement event has "stepped" it up from a 1.5 mile walk to a 5K race (although walkers and "mosiers" are welcome)! This event is truly special in how it is organized and facilitated as it bring University and community leaders together to celebrate our common commitment to affordable housing in RI. The 5K route starts at the URI Quad takes participants around the URI campus and will be held rain or shine! So get your shoes ready and we will see you there!

South County Habitat is partnering with URI to build 4 homes on the north side of the URI Kingston campus. Learn more about our partnership here: www.uri.edu/habitat. South County Habitat homes are built in partnership with local families and individuals in need. Habitat Partner Families contribute "sweat equity" to help build their own homes and pay an interest-free mortgage.
