Our heartfelt thanks to RI Base Commander Jay Grey and all the members of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI) USSVI - Rhode Island for presenting a generous check to Kinney Azalea Gardens/ Friends of the Kinney Faella Gardens in honor of the late Antonio “Tony” Faella.

Tony proudly served aboard the USS Spearfish (SS-190), qualifying in submarines in 1943 and completing five war patrols during World War II. He remained an active and cherished member of the submarine veteran community throughout his remarkable 103 years.

Tony and his beloved Betty’s (pictured with Jay Grey and Exec. Director Julie Christina) legacy lives on in the gardens. We are deeply grateful to the SubVets for helping us preserve that legacy for generations to come.

If you would like to support our mission through a donation or membership to the gardens, or honor someone special through a memorial bench, tribute gift, or bequest, we would love to hear from you.
