Raising HOPE Ulster Vision: To inspire a community of women to mobilize their time, talent, and financial resources to help other women achieve their potential.

Raising HOPE serves women 18+ who want to achieve personal, educational, or vocational goals and seek support to reach them. Our Mentees have a broad range of life experiences, but they all have one thing in common: a desire to improve their lives, and those of their families, by making a commitment to their Mentors - and themselves - to work hard to achieve their goals. We welcome all women 30+ w

ho have life experience they'd like to share and desire to help others, to consider becoming a Mentor. Our Mentors play a number of roles including:
-Partnering to achieve personal, educational, or vocational goals.
-Being a sounding board about choices and priorities.
-Providing feedback in communication and life skills.
-Motivating when encouragement is needed.

Get Started Farming with New and Beginning Farmer Program March 16 in Kingston
Kingston, NY - Are you a new or aspiring farmer in Ulster County looking for resources and information to get
started? Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County (CCEUC) has an upcoming opportunity to learn and meet
your local agriculture extension educators and technical service professionals. A variety of farm business topics will
be covered in short workshops in their “2024 New and Beginning Farmer Program”, Saturday, March 16, 2024, 9:30
AM - 5:00 PM at the CCE Ulster County office, 232 Plaza Road (Hannaford Plaza) in Kingston.
Ulster County is home to a diverse farming community, and presentations will cover a range of topics with
opportunities to connect with specialists and technical support providers about your goals and available assistance.
Sessions include local farming and gardening resources, poultry and livestock production, agroforestry, soil health
and cover cropping, agritourism and value added products, and marketing and business planning for farms.

Presenters will include specialists from Cornell Cooperative Extension Ulster, Sullivan, and Tompkins Counties,
Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture and Harvest NY programs, as well as Ulster County Soil and Water
Conservation District, Cornell Hudson Valley Research Lab, and Cornell Food Venture Center.
This low-cost workshop is being offered for $15 and space is limited. For the full schedule and to register to reserve
