Senior legion “W” over Pembroke 9-3

Derek Lopes A Difficult Out As Post 387 Senior Legion Defeat Pembroke Post 143

Derek Lopes collected three hits in four at bats, as Post 387 Senior Legion defeated Pembroke Post 143 9-3 on Wednesday. Lopes singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Levon Mulready struck out 11 batters on the day. The left-handed pitcher also surrendered three hits and one run over six innings while walking three.

Post 387 Senior Legion got on the board in the top of the first inning after M Frattasio singled, and Pembroke Post 143 committed an error, each scoring one run.

#6 started on the bump for Pembroke Post 143. They allowed 10 hits and six runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking three. Declan Kelly appeared in relief for Post 387 Senior Legion.

Post 387 Senior Legion accumulated 13 hits in the game. Frattasio led Post 387 Senior Legion with three runs batted in. They went 4-for-4 on the day. Lopes and Liam O’Keefe each collected multiple hits for Post 387 Senior Legion.

#6 led Pembroke Post 143 with one run batted in. They went 1-for-4 on the day. #6, #30, #27, #7, #9, and #17 each collected one hit for Pembroke Post 143.

Senior Game WIN on Friday 6/21

Post 387 Senior Legion Defeat Brockton Post 35

Post 387 Senior Legion topped Brockton Post 35 9-5 on Friday at 33A Summer Street.

A single by #10 put Brockton Post 35 on the board in the top of the first.

Post 387 Senior Legion made the score 4-1 in the bottom of the first after Derek Lopes singled, scoring one run, Levon Mulready singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Post 387 Senior Legion added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Lopes tripled, scoring two runs, Mulready doubled, scoring one run, and #24 induced Jack O'Connor to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Post 387 Senior Legion added one run in the third after Lopes grounded out.

Mulready earned the win for Post 387 Senior Legion. The lefty surrendered four hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking five. #11 took the loss for Brockton Post 35. They went three innings, surrendering one run on two hits, striking out three and walking two. #4 started on the hill for Brockton Post 35. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking three. Declan Kelly collected the save.

Lopes and Mulready were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Post 387 Senior Legion. Lopes, Mulready, and Sean Barry each collected two hits for Post 387 Senior Legion. Post 387 Senior Legion had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Matty Bowles and Connor O'Keefe led the team with two walks each. Bobby Rooney stole two bases. Post 387 Senior Legion ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. Post 387 Senior Legion didn't commit a single error in the field. O'Keefe had the most chances in the field with 12.

Post 387 Senior Legion couldn't keep up with Hingham Post 120 and fell 10-0 on Wednesday at 210 Central Street.

Hingham Post 120 opened the scoring in the first after an error scored two runs.

Hingham Post 120 added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when #13 singled, scoring one run, #12 drew a walk, scoring one run, and #10 grounded out, scoring two runs.

Derek Lopes started on the hill for Post 387 Senior Legion. The right-handed pitcher allowed six hits and 10 runs (four earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. #28 led things off on the bump for Hingham Post 120. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out 10 and walking two.

Lopes and Levon Mulready were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Post 387 Senior Legion while hitting back-to-back.

#28, #99, #12, #27, #10, #17, and #13 each collected one hit for Hingham Post 120. #12 and #17 each drove in one run for Hingham Post 120. #28 stole two bases. Hingham Post 120 stole five bases in the game.

Post 387 Jr. Legion Fall After Big Comeback By Hingham Post 120

Post 387 Jr. Legion could not hold onto the lead against Hingham Post 120 on Tuesday at 210 Central Street and fell 9-8 despite leading by six at one point.

Matt Frattasio collected three hits in four at bats in the loss. Frattasio doubled in the third inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Post 387 Jr. Legion were the first to get on the board in the first when Frattasio doubled, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Hingham Post 120 went back into the lead after Mccarthy grounded out, and Kenniston lined out, each scoring one run.

Post 387 Jr. Legion flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring seven runs on four hits to take a 8-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Frattasio that drove in three.

Hingham Post 120 took the lead, 9-8, in the bottom of the sixth thanks to singles by Adams, and Kelly.

Connor Martell stepped on the bump first for Post 387 Jr. Legion. The right-handed pitcher allowed five hits and three runs over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking three. Snowden led things off on the mound for Hingham Post 120. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and six runs (five earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking three.

Declan Kelly stole two bases. Post 387 Jr. Legion ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game. Post 387 Jr. Legion turned one double play in the game.

Hingham Post 120 amassed 12 hits in the game. Bohane and Kelly each collected two hits for Hingham Post 120. Kelly led Hingham Post 120 with three runs batted in. They went 2-for-2 on the day.

Post 387 Jr. Legion welcome Pembroke Post 143 on Tuesday for their next game.

Post 387 Senior Legion had trouble keeping up with Duxbury Post 223 in a 13-7 loss on Monday at 33A Summer Street.

Duxbury Post 223 jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after #23 drew a walk, scoring one run, and #8 singled, scoring two runs.

Duxbury Post 223 added two runs in the second after #23 doubled.

A sacrifice fly by #27 extended the Duxbury Post 223 lead to 6-2 in the top of the third inning.

Declan Finn-Hanson began the game for Post 387 Senior Legion. The righty surrendered four hits and six runs (five earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking five. #3 started on the hill for Duxbury Post 223. They allowed eight hits and seven runs (four earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out five and walking six.

Bobby Rooney and Max Ryan were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Post 387 Senior Legion. Levon Mulready and Sean Barry each drove in one run for Post 387 Senior Legion. Mulready paced Post 387 Senior Legion with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Rooney stole two bases. Post 387 Senior Legion stole four bases in the game.

Post 387 Senior Legion bested Sandwich Post 188 5-2 on Sunday at 365 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd.

An error put Sandwich Post 188 on the board in the bottom of the second.

In the top of the third inning, Post 387 Senior Legion went back into the lead after Connor Martell grounded out, and Derek Lopes singled, each scoring one run.

Joseph Mannix earned the win for Post 387 Senior Legion. They surrendered two hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. #28 took the loss for Sandwich Post 188. They went three innings, surrendering three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two.

Levon Mulready provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Post 387 Senior Legion with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Lopes went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 387 Senior Legion in hits. Max Ryan collected two hits for Post 387 Senior Legion in four at bats. Bobby Rooney stole two bases. Post 387 Senior Legion ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game.

Post 387 Senior Legion had trouble keeping up with Sandwich Post 188 in a 12-0 loss on Sunday at 365 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd.

Sandwich Post 188 got on the board in the third inning after #21 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Sandwich Post 188 scored five runs on two hits in the top of the sixth inning. An error scored two runs, a passed ball scored one run, and #37 singled, scoring two runs.

Levon Mulready started on the hill for Post 387 Senior Legion. The lefty allowed two hits and seven runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking seven. #25 led things off on the hill for Sandwich Post 188. They gave up zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one.
