Nothing beats a summer afternoon at the Rec Center! 💦🏀

Today, members of the Kingston Fire Department stopped by to cool the kids off with the fire hose, play some basketball, and enjoy some time with our community.

🚨 INCIDENT UPDATE – ROUTE 125 GAS MAIN BREAK 🚨

This morning at 7:20 AM, the Kingston Fire Department responded to a large 8 inch natural gas main break on Route 125 near the Plaistow town line after a construction crew struck the gas main in the work zone.

The incident required a coordinated response to ensure the safety of the public, nearby businesses, and workers. Traffic delays and road closures were in place while crews worked to secure the area.

The Kingston Fire Department would like to thank all of our mutual aid partners, law enforcement, utility crews, EMS, and highway personnel for their professionalism, teamwork, and assistance throughout the incident. We also appreciate the patience and cooperation of the public during the response.

As always, thank you to everyone who helped bring this incident to a safe resolution.

Kingston Fire was dispatched to an address on Merrill Ave for a 911 call which was disconnected. The call was updated to a shed fire while units were en route. The on duty crew of 3 responded immediately receiving updates from KPD from the scene. The fire was quickly knocked down, while protecting the exposed residence. Kingston received assistance from our mutual partners from Newton Fire, Plaistow Fire, Haverhill Fire, Brentwood Fire, Amesbury Fire, Danville Fire, Hampstead Fire and East Kingston Fire. We thank all of our mutual aid partners for their response to the scene and assistance with station coverage. Kingston Police and The Rockingham County Dispatch also assisting with needed resources. The call was under control in approximately an hour from the initial tone.
