🎉 We are incredibly grateful to the Julia C. West Foundation for their generous support of the Literacy Council of Kingsport through a 2026 grant award!

Thanks to this funding, we will be able to purchase new tables and chairs for our classrooms, creating a more comfortable and welcoming learning environment for our students and tutors. 📚 The grant will also provide the materials needed to build a large bookcase in Classroom 1, helping us better organize and expand access to educational resources.

These improvements will directly enhance the learning experience for the adults and children we serve. Thank you, Julia C. West Foundation, for investing in literacy and helping us build a stronger community through the power of literacy! ❤️

📚 Thank You, ProLiteracy! 📚

The Literacy Council of Kingsport is grateful to announce that we have received a Literacy Opportunity Fund Grant from ProLiteracy !

This funding will help us continue providing high-quality literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) services by supporting the purchase of updated ESL curriculum materials, student and tutor supplies, and classroom resources. The grant will also provide partial support for our donor database subscription and a portion of staff salaries, helping us sustain and grow our impact in the community.

We are deeply thankful to ProLiteracy for investing in adult literacy and for supporting organizations like ours that work every day to empower learners through education. Because of this generous grant, we can continue helping adults build the reading, writing, and English language skills they need to achieve their goals and create brighter futures.

We are excited to share that the Literacy Council of Kingsport has been awarded an Adult Literacy Grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation! 📚✨

These funds will help support our adult literacy programs, including free one-on-one tutoring and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for adults in our community. Through these programs, adult learners gain the reading, writing, and language skills they need to reach their personal, educational, and career goals. 🌟

We are honored to announce that the Literacy Council of Kingsport was named as one of the ProLiteracy National Book Fund grant recipients! We were chosen as part of this impressive group for our dedication to providing adults in our community with Adult Basic Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages and our intent to use the instructional materials we received to increase our impact!
