Young Life doesn't start with a program. It starts with adults who are concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don't happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency. So Young Life leaders log many hours with kids — where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn

what's important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks. We believe in the power of presence. Kids' lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God's love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose. This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God's love for them, will impact future decisions … careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised. All ripples from the time when a Young Life leader took time to reach out and enter their world

5 days until we head to Rockbridge for The. Best. Week. EVER!! .. annndd we are taking the biggest group to camp that we have EVER taken! 5 years ago we traveled to summer camp in leaders cars. This year we have surpassed a full charter bus and have added a 2nd!! This 2nd bus is giving us more than enough space for extra campers. If you are, or know, a local high school student (completed 9th-12th grade) who would like to join us May 27th-June 1st for an unforgettable, potentially life-changing week, please reach out to us here. If you are one of the many people who follow along with all the happenings of YoungLife Kingsport, will you please be praying that God will open doors for each of the students He wants to be present to be able to go, for the health and safety of our students and leaders, that walls will come down, friendships will blossom, hearts will be open to hear The Gospel and that lives will be changed. We have MANY students who will be going to camp for the very first time! Pray that they will experience life to the full in a way they never have before and that only He can provide.

What an incredible final YL club of the school year! Tonight was Senior Night, and our seniors handled all of the components of club. Scottie prayed for them as they embark on life after high school/YoungLife and one of our seniors, Flynn from West Ridge, even gave the talk to one of our biggest turnouts of the year! On top of it being Senior Night, it was also 8th Grade Night. We loved getting to meet some of the new faces we look forward to welcoming back in the fall.

It’s garage sale week!!
We are still accepting donations of items, but drop off will now be at the sale location (Kingsport Community Church). Items can be dropped off on Wednesday evening 5pm-7pm or Thursday 9am-3pm. If you have items and need a different drop off time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Scottie at 423-534-9259

Got gently used non-clothing items taking up space? We would love to take them off of your hands for our upcoming Garage Sale Fundraiser! All general donation sales will be used to supplement YL Summer Camp costs for local students.

Donations can be dropped of at the YL Building (548 Hidden Valley Rd)
Sunday, April 12th (2pm-4pm)
Monday, April 13th (5:30pm-6:30pm)
** please call Scottie at 423-534-9259 if you need to arrange an alternate drop-off time!
