We are incredibly honored to partner with the F.R.E.E. Foundation of Virginia at our Chilhowie location by providing space for the programβs equipment washing station, storage, and operations.
This weekβs ribbon-cutting for the new Smyth County chapter was about so much more than opening a new location: it was about creating hope and improving lives across Southwest Virginia.
For those who may not be familiar, the F.R.E.E. Foundation of Virginia (Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment) provides refurbished mobility and rehabilitation equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, lift chairs, and other essential medical equipment to individuals who are uninsured, under-insured, or experiencing financial hardship. Their work helps restore independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life for people and families who may otherwise go without the equipment they desperately need.
We know that something as simple as access to the right equipment can completely change a personβs daily life. It can help someone safely remain in their home, regain mobility, care for a loved one, or simply move through the world with greater comfort and confidence.
At Goodwill Industries of Tenneva, we believe strong partnerships create stronger communities. We are deeply grateful to play a small part in helping expand access to these life-changing resources for our neighbors throughout the region.
A heartfelt thank you to the F.R.E.E. Foundation of Virginia, Wellspring Foundation of Smyth County, Smyth County Community Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce of Smyth County, Inc., and Kelsey Lynn Photography for helping make this day so special. π
We are proud to stand alongside this incredible effort and look forward to seeing the lasting impact it will have on individuals and families throughout Southwest Virginia.
