Dear Jericho Shrine Center Family, Nobles, Ladies, and Friends,
As we bring an incredible week to a close, my heart is overflowing with pride, gratitude, and positive energy. As I reminisce on this week, I am reminded of the beautiful spirit that defines our Shrine Center. I look forward to the Paper Crusade every single year, and it truly is one of my absolute favorite events. There is nothing quite like being out in the community, standing shoulder-to-shoulder on the pavement with my brothers and sisters, and hearing the powerful, moving stories from folks stopping by about how Shriners have directly changed their lives or the lives of their loved ones.
It was an absolute joy and a true honor to work right alongside so many of you this week. Witnessing your smiles and your passion firsthand has been one of the greatest highlights of my time serving as your Potentate.
An undertaking of this magnitude requires a monumental amount of moving parts, and it simply could not have happened without the extraordinary leadership guiding the way. I want to extend a deeply sincere thank you to our Shrine Center Paper Crusade Chairman and our Assistant Paper Crusade Chairman. Your relentless dedication, countless hours of planning, and seamless coordination ensured that our teams had the snacks, drinks, papers, and support they needed every single day. You kept our spirits high and our operations running flawlessly.
I also want to express my gratitude to each of our Shrine Clubs Paper Crusade Chairmen. Your localized leadership at the county level was the bedrock of this week's success, organizing our presence so beautifully across our entire jurisdiction.
Long before we even hit the pavement, a tremendous amount of groundwork was laid to ensure our community knew we were coming. I want to extend a huge thank you to the Nobles and Ladies who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to set up our newspaper, TV, and radio interviews, as well as the Nobles who stepped up to do the interviews. Your efforts to share our mission on the airwaves and in print completely paved the way for this week's success. Alongside them, a massive thank you goes out to our local newspapers, TV stations, and radio stations. Thank you for generously opening your platforms to us and helping us get our message out so beautifully to the public.
To our amazing Nobility and our wonderful Shrine Ladies: thank you for showing up, stepping up, and pouring your hearts into this Crusade. Whether you stood on a median in the warm sun, greeted shoppers at a storefront, or supported our volunteers from behind the scenes, you made this week unforgettable. Your presence brought a radiant light to our community.
Beyond the pavement, the mission of our Shrine Center thrives because of continuous, year-round devotion. I want to personally thank our outstanding Nobles who have stepped up to serve as Members and Associate Members of our Hospital Boards. Your leadership, strategic dedication, and vital oversight ensure that our healthcare system remains a beacon of hope. And to our cherished Roadrunners—the quiet heroes who log countless miles driving our local children to their appointments—thank you for being the safe, comforting hands that transport these precious patients to receive the much-needed care they deserve.
A very special thank you also goes out to the Nobles and Shrine Ladies who put together this year’s paper edition, and the wonderful people who printed it. Thank you for ensuring we had it in our hands well before our deadline so that we could hit the ground running this week. The paper is the cornerstone of our message, and its impact is deeply rooted in the precious children we serve. I want to send an incredibly heartfelt thank you to the parents of our patients who graciously allowed us to use their child's picture in our paper. Sharing their beautiful faces and inspiring journeys is what truly touches the hearts of our community.
We also owe a massive debt of gratitude to all of the storefronts and businesses that so graciously allowed us to set up in front of their locations all week. Your hospitality gave us the perfect home base to connect with our neighbors safely and effectively.
Finally, my deepest appreciation goes out to our incredible local community. Thank you for your immense financial generosity this week and for your constant encouragement throughout the entire year. Every coin dropped into a bucket and every kind word spoken at an intersection directly helps fund life-changing, specialized pediatric care at Shriners Children's.
Every single one of you is vital to this mission. You are the heart, the soul, and the strength of Jericho, and you make the world a better place for children every single day. Thank you for an unforgettable Paper Crusade!
With deepest fraternal love, utmost respect, and gratitude,
Logan Tipton
