EVENT UPDATE!
We are thrilled to announce that Miss Knoxville Volunteer, Jewel Bodkins, will be our official host and guest speaker for the AveNew Community Classic presented by United Way of Greater Kingsport and Kingsport Parks and Recreation.

Jewel Bodkins, the reigning Miss Knoxville Volunteer, is a 22-year-old cosmetologist from West Tennessee and will compete for the title of Miss Tennessee Volunteer next month in Jackson.
Her SERVE initiative, “BeYOUtiful: Strength in Struggles, Beauty in Growth,” is inspired by her personal journey with mental health challenges. Through her platform, she encourages students and young adults to prioritize self-love, self-care, and healthy minds while connecting them with valuable resources and support.

Jewel will be available for photos and autographs during the event.

We had a great morning with West Ridge High School for Donut Forget Your Mental Health! We were able to give away donuts, mental health resources, and have great conversations with over 700 students. The positive affirmation board is proof that these youth are invested, thoughtful, and they want to talk about it.

As the holidays approach, many teens in our region face uncertainty—some are homeless, while others are couch surfing without a stable place to stay. This season can be especially difficult for them.

If you know a teen in this situation, please keep Frontier Health's SAFE Place Program in mind. They provide a safe, structured environment for up to 21 days, giving teens the support they need during this critical time.
For more details or to make a referral, contact Margaret Powers at:
📞 423-288-1828 or 423-361-1349

Together, we can make sure no teen feels alone this holiday season.
