Keep Kingsport Beautiful recognized the July and August Beautification Award winners at the Kingsport Board of Mayor & Aldermen meeting Tuesday night. Sponsored by Boehm Landscaping, the Beautification Awards recognize homeowners, businesses and churches for maintaining and beautifying their properties in the city. Awards are given from May through September. Residential winners for July were Curtis and Debbie Pickwell, Harold and Linda Robinson, Tim and Kathie Jennings, Sherry Bradley, and Tracy Nguyen. The business winner for July was Texas Roadhouse. The church winner for July was Kendrick’s Creek United Methodist Church. And the redevelopment winner for July was Momma D’s Restaurant. Residential winners for August are John and Kim Blessing, Debra Price, Bob and Jennifer Feathers, and Patrick and Stephanie Grandelli. The business winner for August is B&H Wealth Strategies. The church winner for August is Tri-City Worship Church. And the redevelopment winner for August is Stop & Go Market on West Center Street. If you ever want to dig in the dirt and help your community, reach out to Keep Kingsport Beautiful for our opportunities to work in the pollinator gardens at our local elementary schools! Thank you to these volunteers who worked early Friday morning to help pull weeds and freshen up the garden at Kennedy Elementary School, just in time for the start of a new school year.
