Family Promise is a nonprofit corporation which unites local churches to provide shelter, meals and comprehensive case management to homeless families with children. Each Host Church provides overnight shelter and meals for a week at a time. During the day adults are taken to a Day Center where a Case Manager works with them to develop a plan which includes budgeting and linking the families with

social services, employment, education and job skills training, health care, day care etc. Our goal is to help families overcome whatever barriers they might have to obtaining employment and housing so that they will be able to provide stability for their children. Families remain in shelter until they move into their own housing as long as they are pursuing their Self-Sufficiency Plan.The overall mission of Family Promise is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.
