On Nov 24th Scott was involved in a serious farming accident that has resulted in the loss of his left arm. To say this is life altering is an understatement. This sudden change will obviously leave Scott and his family with many adjustments, and obstacles to overcome in order to adapt to his new reality. In order for Scott to maximize his quality of life he will now begin the process of physically adapting and overcoming the loss of a vital limb. There will be many surgeries and therapy sessions ahead, which will equate to several unforeseen medical expenses. This unexpected incident has also altered Scott’s ability to immediately return to work which will affect his earnings. Anyone that knows Scott will agree that he would do anything for anybody. He has spent over 20 serving the community as a decorated Police Officer in Kingsport TN, with several years of prior service in Florida. He was currently assigned as the School Resource Officer at John F Kennedy Elementary School where the students and staff welcomed his presence each day. He personally invested time and effort in outreach, encouragement and mentorship to not only the students at Kennedy Elementary School, but to his co-workers and friends as well. Scott’s humble personality would never agree, but he deserves our help. Any donations made will go directly to assuring his recovery and quality of life in a positive way. This would include any adaptations and safeguards needed to allow for his future ability to be independent, and to help offset any medical expenses not covered by insurance. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance for your support of Scott.
