We had a fun youth night this past Sunday. Thanks for everyone who came out! It was awesome! And we loved Ricky leading it! He did great! The lesson was on being distracted with every day life and giving Jesus your time. One of the key points was how our distractions can separate us from the kingdom of Heaven. We often spend time on the instant gratification rather than think about how it can impact our eternal future. It was much needed and such a blessing! ✝️ Be sure to be on the lookout for info of our next youth group!!

We are mixing it up and having youth group Sunday for a Pre Super Bowl party at 4 pm. Ricky Kiser is going to lead the lesson and activities. We’re so excited to have Ricky lead us! It’s going to be so much fun!! We will meet at the theater at 4 pm. The theme is “Distracted” and we will have fun games and snacks. We hope to see you there, and be sure to bring a friend!!

We had such a good and fun youth group tonight. We went over the story of how Elijah was discouraged the people of Israel were serving a false god named Baal and listening to false prophets. Chapters before our lesson God had challenged using Elijah as his mouthpiece . Ultimately the false prophets were defeated by Elijah. This made the king very angry and he wanted Elijah killed. Elijah ran and was in fear of his life. Later on in the story Elijah was instructed by God to go to a mountain and he would hear from God. He went and made his way into a cave where he waited for the voice of the Lord. A strong wind, earthquake, and fire came, but that wasn’t God. Elijah waited and then something amazing happened. God revealed himself to Elijah with a still small voice and instructed Elijah on what he wanted him to do next. Sometimes there will be chaos and loud voices all around and it feels like God is so far away. He’s always there. Even in the chaos and even in the silence. God doesn’t always speak to us in this big miraculous earth shattering voice. Sometimes it’s quiet and still even when everything around us is loud. If we will just listen, he is there and can help guide us.
