Once again, rink was flooded last night pretty heavy. We’re trying to make up for a lot of ice that was lost in the past couple weeks. There is still moving water under the surface, so please stay off the ice.

With today’s and tomorrow’s higher temps, the ice might not be ready until Saturday.

Rink has been cleared and flooded! We put it on extra this time because of all the thaw. It will take longer to freeze.

Don’t walk on the ice when it’s slush like someone did late last night. A lot of work goes into trying to make the ice smooth. If the cone is out, the ice isn’t ready.

Please stay off the ice until tomorrow. Just checked it again at 3:30 pm and there’s still water underneath

We got new nets!!

Please take care of these so we can make them last. They are going to be stored in the cabin. Please don’t just throw them around, put them back in there when you’re done with them and if you see them out, please put them away.

There is only one new one put together right now. We’ll work on getting the second put together!

We’ve gotten some gear donations and the cabin has been organized. Lots of kids gear! Feel free to use what you need out on the ice. Please return gear when you’re finished to make sure others can use it! We are low on kids skates but looking for more. If you have any old gear that you want to donate, reach out on here.

Rink is open! Thanks for those that showed up to help. That was a fun one! There obviously will still be snow on the ice as it keeps coming down. Just grab a shovel and clear what you can. See you out there!

It looks like there’s feet of snow on the rink after this crazy weekend! I know it’ll be cold, but we’re going to try to make a dent in it or clear it all off tomorrow evening (1/20) around 6:00 if we get some helping hands!

From Jerry - After all this warm weather there’s ice on the rink again! We will be closing the rink at 8pm tonight to flood one more time, so we will have good ice throughout the weekend. Go out and skate and if you feel like giving us a hand come on by at 8pm.

There’s ice on the rink!!

It is still bumpy in some spots. It is a work in progress but feel free to go skate whenever the open sign is out there. Please stay off the ice if that is the sign that’s out there. You might have to shovel light layers of snow every once in a while, but we’ll try and stay on top of this weather. The “Zamboni” will be out soon!!

If you’re going to use the hockey nets, please return them to the hooks on the outside of the cabin so they don’t get frozen to the surface. If there’s snow around the edges of the rink (on the inside of the boards), and you lose a puck in there, please try and find it. The snow blowers are our personal blowers and they really take a beating with pucks.

A lot of hard work has been put in so far by all volunteers so please take care of the rink and the equipment. We want to keep it going! Thanks for all the work so far! It takes a village! - From Jerry
