1st mowing of 2026. Headstones are repaired and straight, front gate is repaired, permanent post installed, fence line burned, cleaned and mowed, broken tree at the north end removed, new sign designed and installed, new 6x6 sign posts installed and sign backer reinforced, south end entrance open, (not complete yet), 27 new graves identified in the center section, and starting to look like a respectful cemetery again. Many more projects before we are done @ Pioneer Cemetery.

Updating our roster of our hometown American Heroes we call Honor Guard. Most of these guys you see around town every day, but have no idea the life they lived to keep America Free. We will be spotlighting some of our Heros as the days go on celebrating our 250th.
On todays segment of "Spotlight on the Troops", we feature 2 more Honor Guard Members, on the left: Bruce Carlson, USAF, Vietnam Vet, Awards include: USAF Commendation Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Outstanding Unit Citation, AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign medal, AF Longevity Award, USAF Expert Marksmanship Award for Rifle & Pistol. USAF Basic Training ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal.
