The NLDR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to fill the growing need for standardization, preservation and sound breeding practices in the Lacy community. We are the only registry created to preserve and protect the working abilities of the Lacy dog breed. We promise to offer our customers quality service and to educate and assist our customers in breeding the very best dogs with an em

phasis placed on performance as well as appearance. The National Lacy Dog Registry is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational non-profit corporation devoted to the conservation of this rare breed. The NLDR is owned by, and therefore designed to serve the needs of, the Lacy Dog community. Our mission is to promote breeding for type, sound temperament, and to preserve the natural working ability in the purebred Lacy Dog. To achieve this mission, the NLDR attempts to foster sound breeding practices through education and the funding of research. We have developed a multifaceted database which stores extended pedigrees as well as performance accomplishments, health certifications, inbreeding coefficients and more. By combining these accurate records with standardized inspections and a thorough registration process, we aim to provide a superior experience for breeders and owners alike. We promise to provide our customers with quality service, personal attention, and quick turnarounds on registration papers. The NLDR was the first Lacy registry to offer a special designation for dogs that best exemplify the breed and the first Lacy registry to attach performance titles and certificates to pedigrees. To qualify for single registration, dogs must meet eligibility requirements and the breed standard. Best for the Breed. The NLDA and NLDR have been on the forefront of using the science of genetics for the betterment of our breed. The NLDR stud book is currently open. We believe that if working-type Lacy dogs are to continue, improve, and remain viable as true working breed, a concerted effort to seek out lesser-known lines to make sure they don’t fade out is urgently needed.

Happy New Year! For 2026, the National Lacy Dog Registry is offering advanced pedigrees. We already provide the best registry and pedigree service for Lacy dogs with 4 generations of lineage versus the customary 3 generations. We are again leading the Lacy world by expanding the amount of data that we maintain with each dog's registry file and offering the following advanced pedigrees.

- Pictures of the registered dog and the first 3 generations of ancestry.
- Higher quality, more durable parchment paper.
- Adding certifications, awards, and designations.
- Adding color through all 4 generations.
- Adding height, weight, bite inclusion, and microchip ID for the registered dog and adding height, weight, and bite inclusion for the parents.

We will continue offering the old format of pedigrees for those who prefer a text-only pedigree. We also have an upgrade option for those who already have our text-only pedigrees and want to upgrade. Details will be published on our website at www.lacydogregistry.com soon, and these new pedigrees are available now! Reach out directly via email to [email protected]. We will walk you through the process. We are also open to your suggestions on how the NLDR can add value and improve the Blue Lacy breed.

NOTE: We offer this service to all Lacy owners, regardless of club and registry associations. You do not need to be a member of the National Lacy Dog Association to access the services of the National Lacy Dog Registry!
