**Thiokol Memorial Project to Host Community Town Hall Meeting with Camden County Commission Chairman Robbie Cheek**

The Thiokol Memorial Project invites all Camden County residents and interested citizens to attend a Community Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Thiokol Memorial Museum located at 115 S. Lee St. in Kingsland, Georgia.

The featured guest speaker will be Robbie Cheek, Chairman of the Camden County Board of Commissioners and District 1 Commissioner. The event will be moderated by community advocate Pauline Haywood.

This public forum is designed to provide citizens with a meaningful opportunity to engage directly with county leadership, learn about current and future county initiatives, and discuss issues affecting the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit written questions before the meeting or ask questions and share concerns directly with Commissioner Cheek during the discussion.

"The purpose of this Town Hall Meeting is to strengthen communication between our citizens and elected leaders while encouraging informed civic engagement," said representatives of the Thiokol Memorial Project. "We want residents to be heard, stay informed, and participate in helping build a stronger and better Camden County."

The Town Hall Meeting welcomes citizens from all backgrounds and perspectives. Community members are encouraged to attend, voice their concerns, ask questions, share ideas, and participate in constructive dialogue about the future of Camden County.

In Memory of Lorys Moody
Patriot of Thiokol
Woodbine Thiokol Chemical Plant – 81 MM, Bay 1, Unit 4003 Leader

Today, we honor and remember Mrs. Lorys Moody, a Patriot of Thiokol whose life was defined by courage, leadership, service, and unwavering authenticity.

As the Unit Leader of Bay 1, Unit 4003 at the Woodbine Thiokol Chemical Plant, Mrs. Moody carried responsibilities that demanded strength, discipline, and commitment. Yet her greatest legacy extends far beyond her title. She possessed a rare and remarkable gift—the ability to help others discover their own truth and summon the courage to meet life's challenges head-on.

There was no pretense with Lorys Moody. She spoke honestly, lived authentically, and expected the same integrity from those around her. She had an uncanny ability to look beyond appearances and see the potential within others. Whether offering guidance, encouragement, or a necessary word of wisdom, she inspired people to rise to the occasion and become the best version of themselves.

Mrs. Moody understood that true leadership was not measured by authority, but by example. She led with conviction, faced adversity with determination, and approached each day with a sense of purpose. Her character was forged through hard work, sacrifice, and a steadfast devotion to family, community, and country.

As one of the Patriots of Thiokol, she was part of a generation of dedicated Americans whose labor strengthened our nation and supported those who served in uniform. Her contribution, like those of her fellow Thiokol Patriots, reflected a profound commitment to a cause greater than herself.

Though her earthly journey has ended, the lessons she imparted remain. The courage she demonstrated, the honesty she demanded, and the truth she helped others discover continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Today, we celebrate not only a life well lived, but a legacy that endures. We remember Lorys Moody as a woman of strength, wisdom, and conviction—a leader, a mentor, and a Patriot of Thiokol.

2nd Annual Business Expo Jacksonville Set to Empower Local Businesses and Entrepreneurs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 2nd Annual Business Expo Jacksonville is set to return on Saturday, June 6, 2026, bringing together local businesses, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and consumers for a day dedicated to networking, shopping, education, and economic growth.

Hosted by Coastal Today Magazine, the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aloft Hotel Tapestry – Southside Jacksonville. White Elephant Bingo - TODAY!

Spring is in full bloom, and the Thiokol Memorial Project (TMP) invites the community to celebrate the season with an evening of laughter, games, and giving at its White Elephant Bingo Benefit Fundraiser.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Pineland Bank Community Center. Guests are encouraged to gather family, friends, and fellow bingo enthusiasts for a lively night filled with fun, surprises, and exciting non-cash prizes.
Attendees can enjoy finger foods and refreshments beginning at 5:00 PM, with bingo game drawings kicking off promptly at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $10 per person and include a bingo card sheet for four games. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.
