Small dogs don’t stay available for long, and these three are hoping to find their families soon!

Gurdy is a recently spayed 6-year-old female who is as sweet as they come. She has lived with children, enjoys car rides, and would happily spend her entire day curled up in your lap or being carried around in your arms. If you’re looking for a little shadow to follow you everywhere, Gurdy may be your perfect match.

Taco is a recently neutered 7-year-old male with a classic Chihuahua personality. He talks a big game and likes to act tough when he first meets people, but it’s mostly for show. Once he settles in, Taco is all about finding the comfiest spot on the couch and eating his feelings through snacks and treats.

Copper comes from the same home as Taco and is a recently neutered male estimated to be around 4 years old. Copper is basically a big brown toasted marshmallow. Sweet, soft, and incredibly lovable. He firmly believes exercise is overrated, walking is optional, and being carried is the superior mode of transportation.

Small dogs get adopted extremely quickly, so if you’ve been thinking about adding a new best friend to your family, don’t wait too long. Come meet Gurdy, Taco, and Copper at the Humane Society of Camden County!

Good dogs. Overlooked. ❤️

These 6 amazing dogs have been waiting far too long for someone to see what we see every day.

Jules, McGonagall, Sailor, Swaye, Butters, and Sandy have all been with us for more than 3 months. While they may not be the first dogs to run up and demand attention, they each have something special to offer the person willing to give them a chance.

Many of them are shy or timid when meeting new people. Shelter life can be overwhelming, and some dogs need a little extra time before their true personalities shine. But once they trust you, you’ll discover loyal companions, gentle hearts, and lifelong best friends.

A few have unique stories:
🐾 McGonagall has completed heartworm treatment and her best days are ahead.

🐾 Swaye was born with a deformity in his front right leg, but it certainly doesn’t slow him down.

To help these wonderful dogs find the homes they deserve, their adoption fees have been reduced to just $45.

Please share this post. The perfect family for one of these dogs may be just one share away.

Visit us at www.humanecamden.org or stop by and meet them in person.

Alright Facebook detectives… we need your help. 🤔

Can anyone identify what breed this handsome fella might be?

Here’s what we know so far:
• BIG
• Hairy
• Slobbery
• Slightly bashful
• Eats about as much as an elephant weighs
• Not exactly built for speed
• Motivation level: “maybe later”

He’s basically a lovable living throw rug with feelings. 😂

Our current guesses include:
🦣 Miniature woolly mammoth
🧸 Oversized teddy bear
🦥 Land manatee

Drop your best breed guesses below.
Bonus points for the funniest answer. 👇

And if you’d like to adopt this lovable lug, come visit us at:

UPDATE: ADOPTED!

🚨 MYSTERY CREATURE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 🚨

Before anyone asks…

❌ No, she is not a Wookiee.
❌ No, she is not a runaway toupee.
❌ No, she is not the dust bunny that has been living under your couch since 2019.

(Although that last guess is pretty close.)

Meet Chunky, our fabulously floofy adult female Lionhead rabbit!

This magnificent cloud with ears was adopted almost 7 months ago and absolutely adored by a very sweet little girl. Unfortunately, allergies in the household have made it impossible for her family to keep Chunky, and they made the heartbreaking decision to return her so we can find her another wonderful home.

The good news? Chunky comes highly recommended.

✨ Litter box trained
✨ Tolerates handling and brushing
✨ Professional-grade flopper
✨ House rabbit experience
✨ Sweet, easygoing personality
✨ Would make an amazing companion rabbit, family pet, or even a classroom/teacher’s pet

Chunky previously enjoyed supervised free time around the house and is accustomed to being part of the family. She isn’t looking for a cage to sit in all day. She wants a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and admired for the glorious mane nature clearly spent extra time creating.

🐰 Thinking about adopting a rabbit? Here’s Rabbit Care 101:

• Rabbits need plenty of daily exercise and room to hop, explore, and stretch.
• Unlimited grass hay (Timothy hay for adults) should make up the majority of their diet.
• Fresh water should always be available.
• Leafy greens are an important part of a healthy rabbit diet.
• Regular brushing helps prevent mats and reduces hair ingestion, especially for extra-fluffy rabbits like Chunky.
• Rabbits are social, intelligent animals that thrive on interaction and enrichment.
• Indoor rabbits generally live longer, healthier lives than rabbits kept outdoors.

💲 Adoption Fee: $20
