UPDATE - the husband of the woman in this vehicle going for her "last chemo" emailed 21 News and while her "last chemo" treatment was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, he just wanted us to pass along a huge THANKS to all the support shown to her in the comments below. He said after her disappointment learning her treatment had been cancelled, she was overwhelmed with emotion after he showed her this post and all the support shown to her below. She wanted so bad to reply to everyone! Here's hoping someone captures her vehicle's window again when she DOES actually go for that last chemo appointment. We are positive the support will be there again. STAY STRONG!

Stepping back.
Removing distractions.
Creating space to reflect, pray, and truly listen—so you can discern what God is calling you to do next.

That clarity has come.

Get Up & Fight for a Cure was founded during my Mama’s courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer). From day one, the mission has been rooted in advocacy, support, and service for cancer patients and their families, and that commitment has never wavered.

But walking through dementia with my Daddy, while watching other loved ones fight the same disease, revealed something undeniable:

The mission must expand.💜

God made it clear that Fight for a Cure must also include dementia and Alzheimer’s.

So we are stepping into a new chapter, one focused on broader advocacy, deeper support, and expanded resources for families navigating these devastating diagnoses.

Our renewed focus includes:
• increased family and caregiver support
• enhanced financial assistance and grants
• expanded education and awareness
• and leading with compassion, faith, and grace

This next season is guided by purpose and lived experience, using our trials as a roadmap to help others who are in the middle of their own storm.
