We're excited to announce the 2026 SMD Engage and LMLA sponsored Spring Fling at Incacheetoo Farm on April 18th from 4-8pm.

Cost to attend: $10 per family (up to six—any additional attendees after 6 will be $5 per person)—food and beverages are included in this price through a ticket system. After use of your tickets, extras will be self-pay.

All proceeds benefit the Lockheed Martin Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund.

This annual contest is extended to the children and grandchildren of LM-SWFLANT employees who are graduating in 2024 and plan to attend college or technical school. Contact Scholarship Board Chair, Alex Williams, for a an application packet. Deadline is April 4, 2024.

LMLA Chapter 542 hosted a Winter Carnival for Camden Special Steps on December 1. LMLA volunteers joined the fun as Steppers created holiday crafts, played games for prizes, participated in a cake walk, and showed off their best moves on the dance floor! Lunch and dessert were also provided. 🎄❄️

Special thanks to Ariel Myers Valdez, LMLA Community Relations Chair, for all the hard work she put into making this event so amazing - it was one to remember for everyone involved!

Have you thought about enhancing your public speaking skills? Our fellow LMLA Member, Win Strock, will be speaking to his experiences this upcoming Monday.

The local Toastmasters chapter is having an open house next Monday night from 6:30 until 7:45pm. For those who don’t know, Toastmasters is an international organization that teaches public speaking skills through a network of clubs. The local Jacksonville chapter meets every Monday and is open for anyone to attend.

To quote Win:
“I became a member because someone saw in me something they thought should be shared with others. Given the satisfaction I’ve received as a result, I want to reach out to others and encourage them to do likewise. It’s not for everyone, but it’s for someone. I’m just poking around trying to find those ‘someones’ so they can feel more fulfilled in their purpose and their lives.”
