Kingman's Healing Hooves With over 35 years training horses and exotic animals. We build confidence in children and adults through safe horsemanship.

Professional horse trainer, wildlife educator, and founder of KHH, an equine-assisted learning and Therapeutic nonprofit. We carry CURRENT CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) Upper Instructor levels 3 in English, Jumping, Western disciplines as well as Riders with Disabilities. We are home to some of the greatest Certified Therapy/Lesson horses that can, have, and will continue to change the lives of those they touch.

We normally don't get a lot of rain in Kingman Arizona, but Tropical Storm Rachael brought her "A" game last night.
We have more rain expected tonight and tomorrow. We may be dried out by the end of the week.

Arizona Rain Changes Horse Ranch Life Fast

This is the side of horse care people rarely see.
Recent rain left parts of Kingman’s Healing Hooves muddy and wet, and the next storm was already building over Kingman, Arizona. As the clouds moved in, you could hear the thunder rolling across the ranch.
Weather affects far more than riding. Safe footing, drainage, feeding areas, pens, and daily horse care all need attention when desert rain arrives.

Sometimes teaching horsemanship means giving a rider enough help to stay safe, then giving them time to work through the next step.

You see the concentration. You see him make adjustments. Then you see that smile when everything starts coming together.

Those moments matter.

At Kingman’s Healing Hooves, we work on balance, body position, communication with the horse, and greater independence one skill at a time.

The goal isn’t doing everything perfectly. The goal is learning what to do next and gaining the confidence to try.

Horseback riding is only one part of learning horsemanship.

Learning to handle your horse, manage equipment, follow each step, and take responsibility for the horse builds skills that reach far beyond sitting in the saddle.

At Kingman’s Healing Hooves, we want our riders to become active participants in caring for and working with their horses. Sometimes progress looks like riding independently. Sometimes it looks like saying, “I’ve got this,” and doing the next step yourself.

That independence matters.
