Exciting things are happening in Kingman!

Recently, Kingman Main Street received approval to move forward with the new Route 66 Nature Trail, a project that will create a unique outdoor space for residents and visitors to enjoy. As this exciting project takes shape, Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis is working to add something special for local children and families: a StoryWalk®.

A StoryWalk® turns a children's book into an interactive outdoor experience by placing pages of the story along a walking path. Families can read the story one page at a time as they stroll the trail, combining literacy, physical activity, and quality family time in a fun and engaging way.
Imagine children exploring the trail while discovering a new story. Imagine grandparents reading to their grandchildren as they walk together. Imagine a free community resource that encourages reading, imagination, and outdoor recreation for years to come.

Our goal is to raise $12,000 to purchase and install the StoryWalk® display system once the Route 66 Nature Trail is complete.

Every donation, whether it's $10, $25, $100, or more, helps bring this vision to life. Together, we can create a place where stories come alive and families make memories.

Last Wednesday the Powerhouse Kiwanis Club had guest speakers from the Arizona Youth Partnership. They are providing services to youngsters who are looking for a hand up. The Powerhouse Kiwanis Club was pleased to have representatives from Chillin On Beale! as our guest speakers. These folks put the Haloween festivities together for our young Trick or Treaters and need not only candy but helpers to delight the kids. Give them a howl if you can help!
