Kingman Mohave Lions Club

On Patriot Day, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who came together in the days that followed.

One of the ways the Kingman Mohave Lions Club helps encourage patriotism in our community is through our Flags for First Graders program. Through this program, we visit local schools and provide American flags to first-grade students while helping introduce them to the meaning and importance of our flag.

We believe that teaching younger generations about service, citizenship, and respect for our country helps carry these values forward.

Today, we remember. We honor. And we continue to serve.

The Kingman Mohave Leos have been busy serving and creating together.

In August, four of our local Leos met to tie a quilt, and at their September meeting, another group of four worked on making Happy Birthday banners.

They did not quite finish everything they had planned, so the project will continue next month. Once completed, the banners will be included in “Birthday in a Bag” projects.

We are proud to support the Kingman Mohave Leos and the time they give to serving others in our community. These projects are a great example of young people learning leadership, teamwork, and the value of giving back.
