CASA Council Helping Children of Mohave County would like to send BIG THANKS to all of the participants and Volunteers who came out to our 9th Annual Superhero 5K Walk/Run and Kids Dash non April 25th at the White Cliffs Middle School in Kingman. This year our Superhero was Spiderman! The weather was a bit windy however the participants enthusiasm remained high and they stayed engaged in this great family event. It began with the Kids Dash followed by the 5K Run/Walk and concluded with an Awards Ceremony. There were many smiling faces especially among the children, who proudly displayed their medals after crossing the finish line. The awards ceremony was special with the trophies presented to the overall male and female winners, the male and female masters and winners in various age categories, both male and female. This was a great event for all and we look forward to our 10th Annual Superhero next year. Big Thanks to all our Sponsors, Atia & Ahmad S. Khan, UniSource Energy Services, KRMC, Taco Bell, and Anderson Automotive Group. Thank you all for being a HERO for a Foster Child.

Come and join us for this great community event and be a Hero for a Foster Child.

CASA Council would like to thank Venue Lee, Marketing Director of Marketing and Communications, and Valley View Medical Center for your generous donation of 100 Sports Bags to be used for Betty’s Caring Bags.
Betty Moir was a long-time resident and a CASA volunteer. Betty Moir put the Caring Bags Campaign at the top of her bucket list before she passed away in 2017. Betty was a very devoted, caring CASA to all her CASA kiddos. We made a promise to Betty that we would continue Betty’s Caring Bags Campaign every year in her honor. Each bag contains a small blanket, a coloring book, colored pencils, a stuffed animal, and a hygiene kit. Each and every bag was made with Love in her Honor. CASA Council Board Members distribute these bags to the Bullhead City Police Department, Fort Mohave Tribal Police, Bullhead City Fire Department, Mohave Valley Fire Department, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, Mohave Valley Sub Station, and Fort Mohave Mesa Fire Department. These bags will be used to transition children during unforeseen circumstances, providing personal items they can call their own and offering comfort.
Because of your generous donations, CASA Council will continue Betty’s Caring Bags Campaign and give these children hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for a child who deserves to know they matter. Your belief in our mission keeps this journey moving forward.
Thank you all again for thinking of CASA Council and for your continued support in making a difference and changing the lives of Mohave County Foster Children. We genuinely appreciate every one of you for your dedication over the years.
