Joey’s legacy continues to remind us that the impact one person can have doesn’t end when they’re gone—it lives on through the lives they touched, the friendships they built, and the causes they believed in.

Today, we were honored to donate $1,000 to the 39th Annual Ben to The Shore Bike Tour in support of the Wheels of Justice Team, in Joey’s memory. The Montgomery County Wheels of Justice organization participates in charitable events and fundraisers, primarily supporting the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation and the Montgomery County Hero Fund to aid families of fallen first responders and local youth programs.

For more than 10 years, Joey, along with several of his Montgomery County coworkers—who became much more than coworkers; they became lifelong friends—volunteered their time each year to help set up this incredible event. It was something he looked forward to every summer, not because he wanted recognition, but because he genuinely loved being part of something bigger than himself.

Although Joey isn’t here physically, his legacy continues to inspire us to give back, support others, and keep showing up for the causes and people he cared about. This donation is just one small way to ensure his kindness and generous heart continue to make a difference.

To the Wheels of Justice Team, thank you for continuing this incredible tradition. We’re proud to support you and honored to do so in Joey’s name.

We are proud to announce the recipient of the 1st Annual Joseph J. Battisto Jr. Memorial Scholarship. Congratulations to this year’s deserving winner!

This scholarship was created to honor Joey’s memory and to continue making a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community—something that would have meant so much to him.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our family, friends, donors, volunteers, and everyone who attended and contributed to Joey’s Memorial Fundraiser. Because of your generosity, we are able to turn a heartbreaking loss into something meaningful that will help others for years to come. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

This scholarship is just the beginning. We are excited to share that future donations will also support other students, organizations, and charitable causes that align with Joey’s spirit and legacy. We look forward to continuing this mission and finding new ways to give back in his honor.

As we reflect on Joey’s Memorial Fundraiser yesterday, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

To everyone who came from near and far to be part of such a special evening, thank you. Your presence, support, love, and willingness to honor Joey’s memory meant more to us than words can adequately express.

Thank you to everyone who donated financially to help make this fundraiser possible, as well as those who generously donated raffle baskets, silent auction items, and other contributions. Your kindness and generosity helped create an event that truly reflected the impact Joey had on so many lives.

A special thank you to ALL of the volunteers (SO many of you!) who worked behind the scenes and throughout the event to ensure everything ran seamlessly. Your time, energy, and dedication did not go unnoticed.

We are also incredibly grateful to the bartenders, wait staff, and everyone at Screwballs for their hard work and hospitality throughout the evening. A sincere thank you to the owners, Sal and Tony, and to Tommy, for welcoming us and allowing us to host Joey’s Memorial Fundraiser at your establishment.

Most importantly, thank you for being there for the Battisto, Callison, and Houser families. As we continue to navigate this new “normal” without our Joey, your love and support remind us that we are not alone. Seeing so many people come together to celebrate Joey’s life, share stories, laughter, and memories was both comforting and inspiring.

Joey touched more lives than he ever knew, and yesterday was a beautiful testament to the love so many people continue to carry for him.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We are beyond grateful for your generosity, your support, and your presence. We will never be able to fully express what it means to us, but please know that every donation, every helping hand, every kind word, and every person who showed up made a difference.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tonight as we come together to honor Joey’s memory at the Joey Battisto Memorial Fundraiser.

A few reminders for those attending:

• Please check in when you arrive and pick up your wristband.
• Your ticket includes food, soft drinks, and domestic draft b**r.
• Be sure to check out our TWO incredible silent auction prizes.
• We have TONS of raffle baskets donated by so many generous family, friends and businesses. Cash and Venmo will be accepted for basket raffles.
• Don’t forget about the 50/50 drawing (cash only).

You do NOT need to be present to win any raffle basket, silent auction item, or the 50/50 drawing.

And most importantly, don’t forget to wear RED or your Phillies gear! ❤️⚾

Reminder - Joey’s Memorial Fundraiser is this Saturday, May 30 from 5–8 PM at Screwballs. 🩵💜

We are still officially at capacity and can no longer accept ticket purchases, including at the door. We truly appreciate the overwhelming love and support shown for Joey and our family.

For those who already purchased tickets, please check in at the welcome table upon arrival to receive your wristband.
