They will lay an assortment of different colors to give you a rainbow 🌈 flock right off the bat, with olive, blue, turquoise, and shades of pink are all possibilities with this adorable batch of babies! $8 per chick, minimum of 3 or $75 for whole batch! These babies have a pure Creme Legbar daddy with blue egger genes mixed with Easter Egger hens who lay a variety of colors. These babies will lay either shades of blues, olive greens, teals, or pinks!

All seriousness, Gemma is the only baby (Barred Rock born beginning of April) that survived the horrible dog attack in June… and she is a bit traumatized, so she always wants to roost as HIGH as possible at night. Luckily for her, the ability to fly as high as she does saved her that day when they were attacked. 😢Poor, Gemma… not loving the chicken poo on my back patio though… 🙃🤣

My Cream Legbar Hen and Rooster ‘dusting’ side by side through the fence. 🤣 Mind you… they started the day together and with other hens but Tia needs a little break from Breyer sometimes… so she hops the fence and then hangs out with him with a barrier when he is getting a little too… “wingsy”. lol. Tia and her sister Tamera and Breyer enjoy each other’s company almost all day, but the girls will hop the fence to get a break and just go on an adventure in our other yard. 🙃 My girls should be laying me some blue or green eggs soon… if they aren’t already hiding them somewhere…
Fun fact: Dusting is when chickens lay in the dirt and get a good old dirt bath! It helps them reduce any pests/parasites from staying in their feathers and actually keeps them clean by keeping their feathers from getting oily! It’s a super important for chickens to have access to places to play in the dry sandy/dirt! Luckily I have an endless supply here in my area.

We were checking him out and giving him some one-on-one time and treats and he jumped up to our head board. 🙃😂 This Roo has been a little challenging with his complete ignoring of fencing and Rooberty attitude with other Roos. 🙃 Working on some strategies this weekend. Yes, that is my bath tub acting as a Roo Spa. 🤣 Johnny is getting his epsom salt soaks for his swollen legs. His feathers have not come in correctly since the hunting dog attacks in June that ripped his legs up quite a bit. His tail feathers are still just straggles. 😭 But he is living his best life getting spa treatments, lots of treats, and supervised (because they keep going for his butt feathers) outdoor time with the ladies. My Johnny is over 5 years old now. ❤️🐔
