*ADDITION: Good morning,
Before or after you head on over to the Rotary Flea market, you’ll need to make a stop at the King City High School parking lot? Why? Because you’ll need to make some room for your newly purchased items! Not only do you make room, it you’re donating to your community! Thank you for your consideration! See you there!
ADDITION: Noooo…it can’t be April 9th already? Yep, yep it is, which means there are only two more days until our Goodwill event at the King City High School parking lot. Bringing those gently used items will not only clear out more space so you can spend all that tax money you just got(😳😉), it will also make you feel better too!!❤️
Can time be passing so fast that it's spring and time for our semi-annual Goodwill drive? Yes, yes it is that time of year again for sure. I suppose this is the reason I am older than I think I am!!🤦♀️ As many of us all know...times are more difficult these days than they have been. Many people struggle to pay bills or even buy food to put on the table. While we can't help with paying anyone else's bill, we can help with some groceries. Some of you might be wondering why the Community Food Pantry of King City has to rely on donations to be able to help our own community. Well, that is a very good question, and the answer is basically because nothing is free...even for charitable organizations. The Pantry has to raise money so we can buy the food from the Food Pantry in Salinas each week. With the Goodwill drive we get $1,000 for each semi-truck filled, which can help us out quite a bit over these next few months. I know there was just recently a Goodwill drive for another worthy charity, but I'm sure we all have a few items that we can find and donate to the Community Food Pantry of King City. We can do some spring cleaning...yes...I said it.😉 Did you recently have a garage sale and you weren't able to get rid of everything you were looking to get rid of? Look no further...we can help with all of those gently used items. Helping out our community...our neighbors is a worthy and helpful act that not only makes them feel good but it makes us feel good too.❤️
The Goodwill drive will be on: Saturday, April 11, 2026 and Sunday, April 12, 2026. Our community volunteers, including some of King City's very own high school seniors will be at the King City High School parking lot on these two days from 9:00am-3:00pm to help download your kind and charitable contributions.
Our Pantry will be opening the doors this season at the the end of May. As soon as we know the exact day, I will update our page.
Thank you all for all your support over the years, and for your consideration and support now. This is a worthy cause for neighbors and friends. The struggle is very real for many people, so let's help where we can. Again, Thank you!❤️
