I heard through the club grapevine that some members don't want to refer to me as "President Jeff" until I prove myself! Ok...You may refer to me as "Emperor Jeff" until I prove myself worthy of being referred to as "President Jeff"! Ha Ha Ha! Gotcha!

The 2026 Rotary International Convention wrapped up this past week! It was a great conference and a great experience! I would like to thank the club for sponsoring my attendance. I know it will help me and benefit the club during my year as president. The people of Taiwan were gracious and welcoming hosts! Rotary International did a great job in planning and ex*****on! Congrats for a very successful convention! On to Barcelona in 2027!

So.....opera is not your thing? How about a concert of classical music by the Taiwanese National Symphony Orchestra? The Taiwanese society has a rich cultural tradition. Their orchestra is top notch!

Ok. Time to take a break from all this Rotary awesomeness! There is only so much awesomeness that one rookie President- Elect can absorb! How about some Taiwanese Opera for a little bit of culture!? Everyone knows that I could use some of that! I warmed up my voice and offered to stand in for a sick performer. The Taiwanise people are so polite...they said "Bù yòng le, xiè xiè". Someone told me later that it meant "No Thanks". I guess I will have to give up my dream of being a Taiwanese Opera singer! Another dream crushed! I guess I will have to settle for being the President of the King City Rotary Club. I think that's better anyway!

Hey King City Rotary Club! When I get back from Taipei… Let’s go Create Lasting Impact in our community and around the globe! Who’s with me?

06/14/2026

Wow what an afternoon! Check out these awesome pictures and videos of the opening ceremony of the 2026 Rotary International Convention here in Taipei. Amazing experience! I am here with 18,000 or so of my global Rotary friends in the new Taipei Dome. There are 37,000 Rotarians here from around the globe. There were so many attendees that they had to break down the opening ceremony into two large sessions! I feel bad for Rotary that so few Rotarians showed up! Suzanne, please get busy inducting more Rotarians into the club. We have got to get our numbers up! Don't forget to umute the sound so you can hear the music!

Ok...here is the proof I am actually in Taipei at the Rotary International Conference!
