Reminder: Join the fun! A few open slots remain to paint your own shield on August 4 at the Kindred Public Library!

August 4 is the "paint day" and kids can also show off their shield on August 7 at the Kindred Fire Department supper and walk in the Kindred Barley Days if they choose to!

Reminder to all Junior Vikings! Craft your own Viking shield!

Did you know that Vikings were master craftspeople, navigators, and storytellers. Their shields represented their honor, status, and bravery, whether in battle or displayed in their homes. They believed colors and symbols offered protection!

Design/paint your own shield on Tuesday August 4th! Then show off your creation at the Fireman Supper (Friday) and march with fellow Vikings in the parade (Saturday) – these two events are optional, but they are the perfect way to display your hard work!
Limited spots available! Register here: https://forms.gle/hrkuc5TvDDLxKXZC8

Throwback Thursday to a legendary student band in Kindred High School circa 1989! How many people would like to see Kindred alums JIM PEARSON, JUSTIN BALLARD, AND STEVE ROHDE bring their band back together?

The Kindred Area Arts Partnership could not be more thankful that Jim did NOT hit the road with his band and instead serves our community at the Kindred State Bank. We are grateful for the bank's continued support of KAAP and the arts in the community and school.

Support from local business and community members over the past decade of the Kindred Area Arts Partnership continues to create opportunities for students like Max, Thor, Isaac and Carson of "The Rip-Offs" to also share their music and dream big right here in Kindred. Thank you!
