American Legion Auxiliary Unit 244-Kinder, Louisiana

As a resident of Kinder, Louisiana and a teacher at Kinder High School is my honor to have been asked to be a part of the Patriot Night football game this Friday, Sept 12th at 7pm.

There will be military booths at the east end zone along with members of the American Legion, VFW and VVA.

The Veterans will be taking the field to be honored before the game starts and the Yellow Jackets will take the field with Old Glory flying high.

As a special treat to our vets I am honored as an LDVA Commissioner to have been asked by Nicholas and Amanda Perioux of the Lake Charles restaurant Pats of Henderson to be handing out $1,000 in Pats of Henderson gift cards to the veterans who are on the field tomorrow night.

Hope to see you all at the game and look forward to shaking hands with each of my comrades in arms on the field tomorrow night.

Come by our Kinder location located at 14710 Highway 165 in Kinder to get your ticket with a chance to win a 6‘ x 10‘ trailer and a 60 inch BAD BOY ZT elite lawnmower. This raffle is being hosted by Kinder American Legion hut 244, drawing will be held at their annual pancake breakfast. You can’t miss our big orange dog “KJ”, he’s up every day waiting to greet whoever should drive through our gates.

We didn’t know the State American Legion office had a membership contest that we are competitive in this year till yesterday.

They have a contest to see who could have a higher membership % by the end of Veterans Day.

We are 3 members short of winning right now it looks like, if you have been interested in joining please help us reach this goal.
