Hope everyone is having an excellent summer so far!! Just a reminder that our Youth Basketball Camp will start tomorrow, Mon. June 26th - Wed. June 28th. Currently we have 55 kids signed up. However, if you would still like to have your son or daughter join us, please just show up 30-15 minutes early and we will get them registered. 1st-4th grade 10-11:30 am & 5th-8th grade 1-2:30 pm. "THINGS TO BRING - Water bottles, Gym Shoes, Comfortable Clothes to play basketball in." Doors will open at 9:30am on the east side of the student center. If anyone missed the deadline, have relatives from out of town, or know of anyone else that may still want to participate in the Longhorn Youth Basketball Camp, for children entering 1st-8th grade June 26-28 please send an email to [email protected] or text/call 308-230-0541. We will order shirts around June 12th if you would like one, but we'll still take registrations all the way up to the day of, June 26th. We currently have 45 area youth signed up and we are excited to work with everyone wanting to develop their leadership and basketball knowledge. Mark your calendars for our 3rd Annual Boys & Girls Youth Basketball Camp!! This summer we will be hosting it (Mon.) June 26th - (Wed.) June 28th. Registration forms will be dropped off at the Mary Lynch school this week so hopefully you will see those soon. This camp grew from 33 participants in our first summer to over 55 last summer. As our camp continues to grow in popularity we will continue to work hard to provide top notch skills and fundamentals each camper can enjoy and use throughout their basketball careers.

All proceeds after camp shirts go to help with the costs of summer camps, leagues, equipment, and programs beneficial to helping improve our high school basketball program and the opportunities in which we can provide our players.

Summer is fast approaching and I thought I would give you information on a basketball camp that is coming up at the end of the school year. Local areas include Ogallala (May 23-26) and Morrill (June 13-15). My son attended as well as a couple other Kimball students while I helped instruct in Morrill last year and it was a great camp to be apart of. Coach Mike Trader and Coach Larry Ribble have been doing this camp for many years and do an excellent job of teaching fundaments as well as work in games that are fun for the campers. In addition each camper has their shot filmed and evaluated. Camp includes food and a T-shirt and is one of the most affordable around.
