This is not a post that any of us wanted to make, but unfortunately we live in a world where the dead and their remains are no longer respected. While Deron Cuevas and Micheal Hoda were in Biloxi today, this is what they found when they went to pay respects to our ancestors. This was NOT done by wind, rain or a fallen limb. THIS IS AN INTENTIONAL ACT OF VANDALISM. The cross was intentionally removed by force and flung 20 off feet behind the tomb. We will be contacting the City of Biloxi asap. We will also reach out to Nick Black in hopes he can restore the cross and reattach it.

Take a moment today to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving.

In the 1800s, "The Chimneys" in Harrison County, MS, was a prominent landmark and early settlement located near Bear Point, in the area that later became Long Beach. It was the site of a 1788 log home built by Nicholas and Marianne Ladner, which survived into the 1800’s as a navigational aid. THE CHIMNEYS, home of Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas Ladner.
