🌟 Scout of the Week 🌟

This week, we are proud to recognize Jasper G. of Troop 43 in Killingly.

Jasper has stepped up to serve as Senior Patrol Leader with confidence, courage, and a true commitment to the ideals of Scouting. Leadership is not always easy, especially when stepping into a role with responsibility for guiding peers and setting the tone for a troop. Jasper has embraced that challenge with maturity beyond his years.

More importantly, he has become a role model to the Scouts around him. Through patience, kindness, and understanding, Jasper leads not by demanding respect, but by earning it. He demonstrates the kind of calm, steady leadership that helps younger Scouts feel supported and encourages others to grow alongside him.

Scouting is at its best when youth leaders rise to the occasion and help create a positive environment for everyone involved. Jasper is doing exactly that, and Troop 43 is stronger because of it.

Thank you, Jasper, for being an outstanding example of Scout Spirit and servant leadership.

Troop 43 had a great weekend at Camp Workcoeman celebrating the Semiquincentennial and America’s 250th anniversary! 🇺🇸
⛺ Scouts enjoyed outdoor adventures, teamwork, and making memories while celebrating our nation’s history.

Our scouts have been hard at work this week preparing handmade fire starters for our upcoming fundraiser—and they’re turning out awesome! 🪵✨

These are just one of the great items we’ll have available, perfect for campfires, fireplaces, and outdoor adventures.

🌳🇺🇸 Troop 43 was honored to participate Monday evening in the planting of a White Oak tree at Phaiah’s Dog Park in Danielson, commemorating the 250th Anniversary of America.

This meaningful tree, generously donated by the Quiet Corner Garden Club, symbolizes strength, growth, and the enduring spirit of our nation. Our Scouts were proud to be part of this special community event and help plant something that will stand for generations to come.

Thank you to the Quiet Corner Garden Club for this wonderful gift and for including Troop 43 in celebrating our nation’s history through service and stewardship.

Community in action this morning! 💪🌲

Troop 43 was proud to lend a hand to the Amarante family, helping take down lights from 88 of their 92 trees. It was a big job, but our scouts showed up ready to work and made it happen together.

We’re incredibly grateful to Amarante's Winter Wonderland for all they do each year to make the holidays brighter for our community. It’s an honor to give back and support those who give so much.
