🎤 What an Amazing Night! 🎤

Our first Karaoke Contest was an absolute blast, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success!

A huge thank you to Len for keeping everyone fed; Worthy Voices and Taugempie for sharing your services and merchandise; Gus, Roland, and Ruben for serving as our judges; DJ Allan for keeping things rolling; and Alyssa, Christine, and Jas for all of their hard work behind the bar and behind the scenes throughout the evening.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our incredible sponsors: Kalayaan, Manila Food Market, and Starlight Entertainment Productions. Your support and encouragement made this event possible.

We were truly impressed by all of the talented competitors who took the stage. This competition was so close, that only two points separated first and third place. Congratulations to our top three finishers:

TWO great reasons to come out to VFW Post 9192 tonight!

🍽️ Filipino Night kicks off with delicious Pork Adobo, Pancit Canton, and Rice served from 6PM–9PM, followed by an exciting Karaoke Contest from 7PM–11PM with cash prizes for the top 3 contestants!

You asked, and we’re delivering!

Starting June 2nd, VFW Post 9192 will be serving delicious Filipino food for lunch every Tuesday through Thursday! You also asked for quality meals and a better variety of food options, and we’ve been hard at work building a calendar packed with some of the most talented local small business owners around.

We’re proud to announce the following food vendors will be serving throughout the month of June:

• Antojintos Don Chuy
• Dat Jamaican Yute
• Son of a Brisket
• Holy Clucks and Puffs
• Little Grass Shack

And of course, back by popular demand — Island Night returns with a special performance by Baila Pacifica!

Memorial Day provides us with an opportunity to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation.

On Monday, VFW Post 9192 had the honor of taking part in the Killeen Memorial Day Ceremony and the annual Remembrance Ceremony for Ted Connell. These ceremonies gave us a chance to pause, reflect, and honor the lives, service, and sacrifices of those who are no longer with us.

Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten, and their legacy continues to live on through the freedoms we enjoy today.

Gone, But Never Forgotten. 🙏🏼

The Killeen Memorial Day ceremony will on Monday, 25 May at 9AM. Please see the flyer for details.

The Ted Connell Memorial ceremony will be at 1PM at the Killeen Memorial Park Cemetery (3516 Lake Road).

Immediately following the Ted Connell ceremony, burgers and hot dogs will be available at the Post.

We’re always looking for ways to connect with our Community and support our local youth organizations.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to VFW Post 9192 for generously donating bottled water and sodas for our Killeen High School Choir Spring Awards Banquet! 🇺🇸🎶

Organizations like the VFW continue to make a tremendous impact in our community through their support of veterans, military families, youth programs, scholarships, patriotism initiatives, and local community service efforts. Their dedication to serving others extends far beyond their own membership, and we are incredibly grateful for their support of our students.

Because of community partners like VFW Post 9192, we were able to better care for and celebrate the choir students and families who joined us for this special evening.

Thank you for your generosity, your service, and your continued investment in the Killeen community! 🦘🎵
