Yesterday was nothing short of powerful. 🇺🇸

We hosted our 2026 Veterans Claims Clinic right here in Killeen, and the impact was real. Veterans showed up ready to take the next step in their journey—whether that meant filing a new claim, increasing their rating, or simply getting clarity on the process.

From one-on-one guidance to answering tough questions, we made sure every veteran left with more knowledge, direction, and confidence than they came with. 💪🏽

Thank you to everyone who came out, trusted us with your stories, and took action for your future. This is exactly why we do what we do.

Today, my heart is heavy. A Veteran died by su***de in the parking lot of Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio. I want to pause and honor that life. I want to acknowledge the pain that was carried in silence. And I want every Veteran listening to hear me clearly. You are not a burden. You are not alone. Your life still matters.

If you are struggling, reach out. If you feel like you are losing your grip, reach out. If today feels heavier than you can handle, reach out. You are still a Veteran, and you deserve support, compassion, and someone to stand in the gap with you.

To the family of this Veteran, I pray comfort, strength, and peace over you. No one should ever have to walk through this kind of loss. And to our community, let this be a reminder that we must keep showing up for each other, checking on each other, and fighting for each other.

Medal of Honor Stipend Update (Dec 2025)

For those tracking benefits: Congress just raised the Medal of Honor stipend from ~$17K/year to $67,500/year. That’s $5,625 monthly, effective December 1, 2025 under the Medal of Honor Act (H.R. 695).

Key points veterans and families should know:

• Separate entitlement - does not offset VA disability compensation.

• Living recipients can collect full VA compensation plus the stipend.

• Surviving spouses must choose between DIC or the stipend (can’t stack both).

This is a major recognition of the burden MOH recipients carry-travel, appearances, and the constant demand to represent service. It’s not $100K, but it’s a fourfold increase that matters.

Transparency and accuracy matter.

Please share this so folks don’t get misled by rumors.
