🎀 E.L. DOWNING COURT NO. 237 – HEROINES OF JERICHO 🎀

Love to see the Sisterhood in full effect!

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Heroines of E.L. Downing Court No. 237 proudly wore pink to show their support, honor survivors, and remember those who have lost their battle during their monthly meeting.💗

During their monthly meeting, Senior Matron Nickesha Hibbert led a much-needed bonding activity called “The Sisterhood Web.” ❤️🧶

Each Heroine stood in a circle and shared a compliment or something she appreciated about another Heroine before passing along a ball of red yarn.

The red yarn represented the Scarlet Cord of the Heroines of Jericho. As the yarn was passed from Heroine to Heroine , a web formed, reminding everyone of the bond they share and the importance of supporting and uplifting one another.

This was a much-needed opportunity for the Sisters to come together, share kind words, strengthen relationships, and remind one another why Sisterhood matters.

Every Heroine has a purpose, every Sister matters, and we all play a part in keeping our Court strong. ❤️

💙❤️A Heroines work is never complete.
On October 6th, E.L Downing Court #237 Heroines of Jericho proudly co-hosted National Night Out. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbors and strengthen our community bonds.
We want our community to know that E.L Downing Court #237 is here as an active, committed partner. We are more than an organization; we are neighbors dedicated to building trust and creating a safer, stronger future together.

💗💜 OCTOBER — A MONTH OF AWARENESS 💜💗

As we welcome October, the South Central Region Heroines of Jericho proudly stands in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Two causes. One mission. Healthy women. Safe women. Stronger communities.

💗 This month, we encourage our Sisters to be proactive about their health. Know your risk, stay informed, keep up with recommended screenings, and encourage the women you love to do the same. We honor the survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand beside every woman currently fighting.

💜 We also stand with survivors of domestic violence and those who may still be searching for the courage, resources, and safe opportunity to leave. We must continue to educate ourselves, recognize the signs, support survivors without judgment, and help create spaces where women feel safe enough to speak and be heard.

As Heroines, our commitment to charity and benevolence calls us to do more than wear pink and purple. It calls us to be aware, educated, compassionate, and willing to serve.

Throughout October, let us use our voices and our platforms to spread awareness, encourage prevention, share resources, and remind our communities that no woman should have to fight either battle alone.
