1st Annual KISD Pig Palooza. Ethan and Connor learned so much and had a blast learning and getting to have a conversation with the judge about what judges are looking for and what they need to work on. This "mini jackpot" was a great way for the students to learn what they need to do from a real industry professional! Huge shout out the judge, Mr. Damion Turner, for coming all the way to help our students!
Connor placed 2nd and Reserve Champion Duroc.
Ethan placed 1st and Champion Lightweight Cross as well as placing 1st in the Swine Showmanship.

Day 3 recap of Texas FFA Convention:
The officers spent time in workshops and general session. They learned a lot and are excited to implement the new strategies!!

Big event of the night lone stars!
We had 5 students earn thier lone stars this year! Janiah Jackson and Hunter Taylor were present to walk the stage! Lone stars are the highest degree Texas FFA members can receive. These 5 worked hard these past years. We are so proud of them!

Day 2 recap:
Some of the FFA officers competed in quiz bowl and made it to the 2nd round!!! (By sheer luck 🍀)
They did wonderful in the 2nd round but lost. They had fun and so did I! I’m so proud of these kids!
While they did quiz bowl, the other officers were in workshops learning what it truly means to be an FFA officer and how to run a chapter!
