Our 20th Annual Four Winds Powwow to be held on September 15 - 16, 2012, at the Killeen Civic and Convention Center, in Killeen, Texas.
Participants in this event will be coming from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana and all areas of Texas. We expect to have over 5,000 in attendance.
The Killeen Civic and Convention Center will open to the public at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday for the day's events. Events will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Gourd Dancing, followed by Grand Entry at 1:00 P.M. A dinner break will begin at 4:30 P.M. with evening Gourd Dancing starting at 6:00 P.M. and the night Grand Entry beginning at 7:00 P.M. Events will last until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday. The Killeen Civic and Convention Center will reopen to the public at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday for that day's events. Events will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Gourd Dancing, followed by Grand Entry at 1:00 P.M. Events will last until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday.
This is a contest powwow. All Dance Categories from Tiny Tots through Golden Age.
Admission at the door will be $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students 6 – 18 years of age. Anyone 5 years old or younger will be admitted free. One canned or non-perishable food items may be substituted for each $1.00 of admissions.
