At our June Chapter Meeting on Saturday, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Mu Theta Omega Chapter enjoyed our GenNext Tea, “Brewing Bonds of Sisterhood,” as we prepared to transition into our summer break.
Members were treated to a delicious breakfast catered by Sister Squad Six (6), setting the tone for a morning filled with fellowship, laughter, and meaningful connections. It was truly a joyous occasion as we conducted chapter business with excellence while continuing to strengthen the bonds of sisterhood.
We had the distinct honor of presenting flowers to two of our eighteen (18) cherished charter members, Ms. Estella Murray and Ms. Brenda Lee, in recognition of their vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to sisterhood.

As part of the Sisterly Relations Committee activity, members were encouraged to bring baby or childhood photos. Each participant received an envelope containing a mystery photo and was challenged to identify the sister featured in the picture. The activity sparked engaging conversations, plenty of laughter, and playful exchanges of, “How did you know it was me?” It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that celebrated our shared memories, strengthened sisterly bonds, and reminded us that the foundation of our sisterhood is built on connection, understanding, and love.
As we enter our summer break, we carry forward the spirit of sisterhood, unity, and service that continues to define Mu Theta Omega. 💕💚
