Central Texas Veterans Health Care System Expands Access with New Round Rock Clinic

The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is taking a major step forward in expanding care for Veterans across the region. On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 10 a.m., CTVHCS will host a ground‑breaking ceremony for a new 63,800‑square‑foot outpatient clinic in Round Rock—an investment designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing Veteran population in Central Texas.

The ground‑breaking ceremony is open to Veterans, families and, caregivers, offering the community a first look at a project that will strengthen the region’s healthcare network for years to come.

TPWD Invites Public Input on Enchanted Rock Expansion Plans

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is inviting Texans to help shape the future of one of the state’s most iconic natural treasures. A second round of public meetings—set for Llano and San Antonio—will give residents another opportunity to weigh in on the developing Public Use Plan for the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area Expansion.

This announcement was brought to our attention during yesterday’s episode of On the Dock with Rick Smith, where Rick highlighted TPWD’s ongoing efforts to gather community feedback. New episodes of On the Dock air each Wednesday and Friday at 6:15 p.m. on KNCT.

🇺🇸 Honoring Korean War Service 🇰🇷

The Texas Veterans Commission is paying tribute to the brave men and women who served during the Korean War — a conflict often called “The Forgotten War,” though their courage is anything but forgotten.

As we observe two important anniversaries — the start of the war on June 25, 1950, and Korean War Veterans Armistice Day on July 27 — TVC is offering a limited number of complimentary copies of the commemorative book Korea Reborn: A Grateful Nation Honors War Veterans for More than 60 Years of Growth.

TVC is also inviting families and veterans to share their history.

📸 Submit photos of Texans who served in Korea to be included in a special social media tribute honoring their service, sacrifice, and legacy.
